Le Chéile FRC is welcoming 2025 with lots happening in our centre. We have a new multi-cultural singing group starting, called One Town One Voice Mallow. We’re inviting everyone in Mallow to come together to a weekly community singing group. Whether you sing in the shower, hum along to the radio, or simply want to be part of a great community atmosphere, we want YOU! We also have a six week parenting programme, called the Power of Positive Parenting, in St. Joseph’s Infant School in Charleville. It begins on February 25^th and for further information contact Noreen on 022 42439.  

And coming up in March is International Women’s Day (March 8^th) which will be celebrated in the Mercy Centre on March 4^th 9.30-12.30.  A day of fun, friendship and food awaits! The focus this year is on the production of food for sale at Farmer’s Market, from mobile food trucks, etc. We have a Food Engineer who will give a presentation on “From Farm to Fork”. Thanks to all who supported out annual Christmas Party for children in December, which was held in conjunction with the Women’s Shed. It was great day, with Santa himself making an appearance.

At Le Chéile FRC, we are more than a resource centre — we’re a welcoming community hub, offering a warm environment for chats, assistance, and a variety of enriching activities. From Community Health Projects and Social Prescribing to Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling, we’re here to support all ages. We also provide Literacy programs for children and adults, as well as assistance for Ukrainian families. Our activities include Laugh and Craft, Men’s Shed, Parent and Toddler Group, and Women’s Shed, among others. Our purpose-built childcare centre provides exceptional care and an engaging outdoor space for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

Whether you’re interested in social groups, youth theatre, baby massage, or just looking for a friendly place to connect, Le Chéile FRC has something for everyone.
